The health care data continuum isn\u2019t so much a straight line as it is a spider web. Patients offer up, on average, 80 megabytes of data each year\u2014in measurements, images, and diagnostic tests\u2014that shoot around to far-flung way stations in the medical world. Mapping this constellation is just the beginning. The real goal is making sense of it.<\/p>\n

In the latest issue of Fortune, data visualizations attempt to show the influence of big data in the medical field.<\/p>\n
